I had Eric and his 14 year old son Alex today. We started out throwing some top water lures as the sun started to rise. We had some monster blow ups and a 5 + pound trout fly a foot out of the water but we were unable to keep any on the hooks. After a few ladyfish we chased the lower tide and poled on a nice flat. We had a bunch of redfish and sheephead tailing all around us but we were not able to make the perfect cast on them so they were left to catch another day. As the tide flooded the flat we went looking for a few big redfish. It was the day of the fish winning. We had 3 brake offs in a row on the big poles. But the forth redfish was going to make it in the boat. After a great fight and the redfish pulling our anchor we had a super fat redfish. It was 35+ " long but it was super fat. He had some football player shoulders on him. The picture does not do this fish justice. It was the fattest redfish to date this season. After that we went and caught a few flounder, bluefish ans some other species. What a great day on the water.

Charter 6-7-2011 w/ Daniel and Ty
I knew some nice redfish would be hanging out. Ty was the first one to get a hit. The fish was slowly running at the boat and I told him to reel fast and the fish would keep on running past the boat. Well the fish swam to the boat and was already tired. It ended up only being a 16" redfish. It was his first redfish. I was surprised that the little guys was hanging where his dad was. I knew there were other fish over there so I had him cast back up there. In a few minutes he was hooked up. Now this was the fish we were looking for. After a 15 minute fight and almost getting the fish near the boat he took another big run and broke threw the leader. Can't catch them all. Ty threw back up in there again. This time the fish hit a top-water lure and was screamimg drag. He managed to get the nice 25" redfish to the boat. Daniel managed to get his first redfish, first trout and first flounder which gave him his first North East slam. Great job!!

Charter May 27 2011 w/ Dave and his guest
It was a tuff afternoon of fishing today. We had storms all around us.We were able to get some smaller redfish and other stuff but
the keeper redfish were hanging low. On the last spot of the day we caught a nice 28" redfish that had us all around the boat. After a quick picture we had her back in the water and had to run back to the ramp before the big thunderstorms gut us. We will get them next time.
Charter May 26 2011 w/ Tim and his wife
I had Tim and his wife out again for another beautif day of fishing. I was hopeing to get the two of them out in the ocean to look for a cobia or two but the weather did not couperate. We Did pretty well on some refish, trout, and black drum. Tim comes out with me often so I am always trying to do something different with him. We have poled on some great big shcools of redfish this last mont so I wanted to get him on a bull redfish. For the last half of the trip we concentrated on that mission. The bite was not on fire but I did manage to get each of them there biggest redfish to date. We were able to get a 30" and a 35" redfish. They were some fun fighting fish. Next time I will have to get them in the 40" club.
Charter May 20, 2011 w/ Walt and his sons
Well I had Walt and his sons out for one last trip for the week. After spooking the big school of redfish last nigh I knew exactly where to start. I came off of plane and hopped up on the poling platform. Before I was even up there you could see redfish crashing baits everywhere. Walt was first up. We had a nice 26" redfish waking not 30 feet from the boat. I cast over there for him and immediately he was hooked up to a big fish in only a few inches of water. It is so much fun when the fish has the advantage over you. Since there is no where for the fish to run except away from you they make some great first runs. And then when you think the fish is tired and is just about to the boat they really show you what they can do. They will run you all around the boat, But Walt did a great job getting the fish into the boat. Well Walt was nice enough to share the wealth and let his sons try to catch a few as well. The had quite a few shoots at some really big fish but just couldn't get the cast that was need. After a while I decided that we would go to a drop off and have them cast at some oyster mounds. We were able to hook in to a few more upper slot redfish as well as a ton of smaller redfish and a few trout and flounder as well. What a fun week it was fishing with these guys and I look forward to fishing with them next year as well.
Charter May 18, 2011 With Tim and his wife
Another great afternoon on the water. The wind had picked up from the morning but we had a great tide to work with. We fished back in the creeks and along some of the flats today. We poled along a flat for a little while and we started to see redfish and stingrays everywhere. Everywhere that you would look there would be a stingray jumping out of the water on the edge of the mud. We were lucky that we were able to keep the baits away from. We saw a great big red working out in the middle and we had a great cast right in front of the fish. It was a big redfish. She did a great job fighting the fish in less than a foot of water keeping it away from the boat. The fish had mad a few big runs but was getting tired. We had it a few feet from the front of the boat and she did a good head shake at the top of the water and threw the jig. This fish was well over 30" and it was still a blast just to fight the fish in this shallow of water. Well now it was Tim's turn. We moved down the shoreline a around fifty yards and poled right up on a huge school of redfish. These fish did not show any signs of being there and in 20+ m.p.h. winds they had the advantage on us. Well I figured these fish would not settle back down for at least 20 minutes and it was getting late so we started up the motor and went after one more school of redfish. I had Tim throw at the oyster mound and first cast he had another big redfish on. This fish pulled us all over. It fought like a much bigger fish but was still a good fish at a little over 29". It was an awesome looking fish. It had a total of 58 spots. What a way to end the day.
Charter May 18 2011 w/ Fred and his wife
Today I had Fred and his wife out for a morning trip. We started out with some beautiful weather. We threw a little top water and some jigs and we picked up quite a few trout. After the sun had moved up in the sky we went into the creeks to catch some slot size redfish and black drum. We did pretty good with the keepers so we decided to go try for a few over-sized redfish in a little deeper water. The bite was a little slow but we did manage to miss a few and they each caught a mid 30 " redfish. The bite was consistent all day and it was a great time out there.
