Charter 11-28-2011 w/ Dave and Dirk
Today I took out a friend and his friend. My buddy Dave lives here in town and is a bicycle racer. Today he brought his friend Dirk Bockel. Dirk is a professional triathlete . He was in the 2008 Olympics and just finished 4th in this years Ironman. Well the pressure was on. Last month I took the two of them out and Dave was the one with the hot hand. Dave put a few nice upper slot redfish but Dirks redfish were finding a way to spit the hook. So this time we made sure that the fish didn't get loose. It was an extremelly tough bite. There was a major cold front approaching so it was very windy and the pressure was dropping. They started out catching some smaller trout and bluefish. All of the sudden fish on and the drag starts screaming. First up was Dirks big sheephead. This was a monster for the back of the creeks. It was over 6 pounds. A little later his pole was singing again. This time he landed a nice over the slot black drum. It probably weighed in over 8 -10 pounds. After that we moved around and got a few smaller fish before heading in before the storm hit. Here is a link to follow Dirks web page as he starts his training for this season. http://twitter.com/#!/dirkbockel
Charter 11-26-2011 w/ Ray and Connor
Today I had Ray and his son Connor out for a little fishing. Another great day out on the water. The tides were way higher than they were calling for. We started off looking for some trout on the higher water. We were able to locate a bunch of trout from 13" up to 17" . We also had a flounder in the mix. After we got a bunch of trout we decided to go look for some drag pulling redfish. It took a few different spots but we finally found them. They were getting some double hook-ups of some real nice redfish. It was a blast. These are the days that make you love fishing.
Charter 11-22-2011 w/ John and his son
Today I had John and his son out for a little fishing. It was a blast out there today. The top water bite was on fire first thing in the morning. I had over 15 redfish in the first hour of daylight before my charter even started. On there first cast we were hooked up to a nice mid slot redfish. About three cast later he had a big old flounder. Then the redfish really got fun. We were in less than a foot of water poling down the flat with well over 100 redfish tails waving at us. After John sight cast to a hand full of redfish it was time to move on. We continued to stay on an amazing bite. They were catching a keeper every cast. What a great day of fishing.

Charter 11-8-2011 w/ Matthew and his wife
Today I had Matthew and his wife out. It was a beautiful day. The tides were still way up from the winds this weekend so we started out catching some trout. After getting trout on every cast for a while we decided to try and find something a little bigger. We were able to find a few nice redfish and blackdrum. I am sure that Matthew had a nice slower pace on the water than the race cars he is used to back home.

Charter 11-06-2011 w/ Tim and Kyle
I had a regular client Tim who brought his nephew Kyle today. They were only in town a few days and this was the only day that I had available so we went for it. There was a sustained wind at 31 with gust over 36 mph with some rain thrown in for good measures. It was a little rough out there to say the least. Some parts of the intracoastal were a solid 2 foot. We slowly made or way from spot to spot with some great success. We started out catching some nice trout and a flounder. After moving to a few spots with not much luck we were able to get on a solid bite. They ended up with 5 nice black drum upto 5 pounds, a few nice trout, a whiting and some smaller seabass and other stuff. It was a fun day for the conditions that were givin to us. Hopefully next month he will have a little better weather.

Charter 11-02-2011 w/ Donnie and his son Blake
Today I took out Donny and his son Blake. It ended up being a little windier than we had hoped for. We had a tuff time locating the redfish today but we did find one nice middle slot redfish that was willing to play . Luckily the trout didn't mind the wind to much. We were able to get 5 nice keeper trout with a few under-sized thrown in as well. These two were really fun to fish with and I hope to see them in the spring next year.
Go Pro video of flood tide redfish in the grass
I did some flood tide redfishing today with my new GoPro video camera. Still trying to figure out how to edit the videos. Here is a nice redfish that I caught. I had 8 fish on today, all hooked up on this ZMan crab. Keep an eye out for more videos in the future.
